Private Whitaker entered the service June 14th 1917
Attached to Company "B" 151st Machine Gun Battalion,
42nd "Rainbow" Division, embarked for France about
January 1st 1918. Private Whitaker served at the front,
and was killed in action on the Lorraine Front near St. Mihiel, September 22nd 1918
from the book "Soldier's of the Great War"
